Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you care for?

Little Peoples Place is licensed for children from infancy through age 5. We generally enroll new children beginning around 18 months, with a preference for children closer to age 2, which helps us maintain the balance of our small, mixed-age group.

For families already part of LPP, we occasionally make special arrangements for a younger sibling to join the program earlier. Sibling placements are considered individually and depend on our current enrollment and age balance.

Do you offer part-time care?

Little Peoples Place is a full-time preschool and childcare program, Monday through Friday. We do not currently offer part-time enrollment.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM.

How does the waitlist work?

Families interested in future enrollment can begin by completing our Waitlist Application.

Because LPP is a small, mixed-age program, our waitlist isn’t simply first-come, first-served. When an opening becomes available, we consider the child’s age, desired start date and the overall balance of our group.

Families who may be a good fit for an upcoming opening are contacted and invited to the next step in our enrollment process.

Can we tour Little Peoples Place?

Absolutely! Families who may be a good fit for an upcoming opening are invited to a small group tour and meet-and-greet.

Tours are held outside of our regular school hours, as during the school day our full attention is focused on caring for and engaging with the children in our program.

This also gives us the opportunity to spend time with prospective families, answer questions and get to know one another without distractions.

Why is LPP a mixed-age program?

We love the family-like environment that comes from children of different ages growing together.

Younger children learn from their older friends, while older children have opportunities to become helpers and role models. Along the way, children naturally learn about friendship, patience, kindness and caring for one another.

How will I know if LPP is the right fit for my family?

That’s exactly why we take our time with the enrollment process.

We want you to get to know us, visit LPP and ask questions — and we want to get to know your child and family too.

Finding the right fit should feel good on both sides.
